Phillip began his career with Smith + Howard (formerly Smith Kesler & Co.) in 1997 and became a partner in 2006. He specializes in tax and assurance services for privately-held construction companies, developing long-term relationships built on technical expertise and attentive service.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, South Carolina Association of CPAs, and the American Subcontractors Association of South Carolina, where he served as Treasurer from 2005 to 2009.

Originally from Abbeville, South Carolina, Phillip continues to serve construction clients across the Southeast with a personal, responsive approach.
