Matt is an International Tax Principal at Smith + Howard, leading the firm’s International Tax practice. With 15 years of experience, he advises multinational corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals on complex U.S. and international tax matters. His expertise includes Subpart F and GILTI planning, foreign tax credit optimization, cash repatriation strategies, and cross-border M&A.

Previously a Managing Director at BDO, Matt led the South Atlantic International Tax practice and built strong client relationships through team leadership and operational excellence. He is a CPA licensed in New Jersey, Florida, and North Carolina, with a Bachelors of Science in accounting and a Masters in taxation.
