Derek Daniel

Derek is a Partner in our Assurance Practice with almost 20 years of public accounting experience. Prior to joining Smith + Howard, Derek served clients of all sizes at a regional accounting firm. He has led and participated in audits of various-sized companies, ranging from pre-revenue stage to premier brand customers.

Derek’s primary industry focus is manufacturing and distribution, where he has served companies across the spectrum of the industry, including chemical, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, e-tail distributors and furniture. Derek has also served a variety of other industries, including real estate construction and development, healthcare, government contracting and major league baseball.

Derek enjoys serving as a trusted advisor, educating clients and other professionals on new accounting standards and topics that will impact their financial statements.
