Smith + Howard Named Among 2019 “Best Firms For Women” by Accounting Today

Top Atlanta CPA firm Smith and Howard has been recognized as one of the best firms for women by Accounting Today as part of the magazine’s annual Best Firms to Work For national survey.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a top firm for women by Accounting Today,” said Smith and Howard Managing Partner Sean Taylor. “It’s something that occurred organically, as a result of our culture and by identifying and hiring the best people.”

By analyzing the submissions for the annual national listing, the magazine began identifying a specific subset a few years ago: firms that offer the best workplaces for women in the profession. To be named a Best Firm for Women, the firm must have either a minimum of 15 female employees, or women must represent 25% of staff, and the female response rate to the Best Firms to Work For anonymous employee survey must be greater than or equal to 40%. Women make up 56% of Smith and Howard’s employees. The firm offers its employees various programs focused on education and career path advancement, including a successful mentoring program for all employees as well as various soft skills training programs.
