Denise joined BPS in 1997 and became a shareholder in 2013. In January 2026, BPS merged with Smith+Howard, expanding her platform to serve clients across the combined firm. She works closely with manufacturing, construction, real estate, distribution, and telecommunications companies, providing practical tax planning, multi-state compliance guidance, and operational support. Clients rely on her steady, detail-driven approach to navigate changing regulations and make informed decisions about growth, equipment investments, and long-term planning.
Her work extends beyond compliance. Denise regularly advises on acquisitions, business transitions, and one-time transactions, supporting due diligence, reviewing tax implications, and helping clients prepare for future ownership changes. She also assists with interim controller needs, process improvements, and strengthening internal controls in partnership with BPS’s small business team.
Inside the firm, Denise is a trusted mentor and an advocate for developing the next generation of professionals. She takes pride in providing consistent, responsive service and in building long-term relationships grounded in clarity and collaboration. Before joining BPS, she worked with Builders Transport and Boyd Management in accounting roles.
