Dan Smith serves as Chief Operating Officer at Smith + Howard, where he brings decades of finance and operations management experience. Joining the firm in 2016, he has played a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, innovation, and cultivating a workplace culture that prioritizes growth for both the firm and its employees. At Smith + Howard, Dan focuses on improving efficiencies and leveraging technology to enhance the firm’s operations while ensuring a great working environment for the team.

Dan’s career spans several industries, including banking, management consulting, entrepreneurial ventures, and professional services. Before joining Smith + Howard, he held key leadership roles at SunTrust Bank, Deloitte & Touche, Ronald Blue & Co., Windham Brannon, and CCS Medical. These roles provided him with extensive experience in strategic planning, finance, operations, and business process improvement. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Dan is passionate about community involvement, actively participating in various nonprofit organizations. He enjoys offering advice and sharing his knowledge of finance and operations best practices with industry professionals.
