Carolyn BryNildsen

Carolyn joined Smith + Howard in 2026 and is a director in our EBP practice. Prior to joining our firm, her public accounting experience includes audit and consulting services for a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and financial institutions in addition to employee benefit plans.

During her career Carolyn made a decision to specialize in EBP auditing over other niches due to its fast-paced and challenging nature. Every engagement is different. Every client has a story. Every audit helps protect someone’s retirement future. Ensuring that the retirement plans she audits are rock solid makes each day meaningful. Carolyn also enjoys mentoring the next generation.
