TaxCaddy is an exciting new solution that simplifies tax time by allowing you to collaborate with your tax professional more easily than ever before. The following is an overview of how to get started.
Getting Started as Easy as 1,2, 3…
You will receive a TaxCaddy invitation email from ([email protected]).
(Note: Do not use the “Sign Up Free” option on the TaxCaddy website. To receive email to sign up, please reach out to [email protected].)
Log in to your TaxCaddy account and accept your tax professional’s connection request. Accepting the connection request allows your tax professional to send you messages and requests, see your tax documents, send you letters and upload your tax return for your review.
Add authorized users – To provide access to your spouse or others, click your name in the top right corner and then Settings. Click Additional User Account and enter their information. They will receive an invitation email to create a linked account with the same steps you have already completed.
Please note that when it comes time to electronically sign your e-file authorization, if you are “married filing jointly,” then your spouse can sign documents using your TaxCaddy account or they can create their own. If your spouse opted to create their own account, then you must link their TaxCaddy account to yours for them to apply their electronic signature.
Download and use the TaxCaddy mobile app – The TaxCaddy mobile app can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Play. It provides a convenient way to access your information and communicate with us directly from your mobile phone.

While the app is not required, it does offer invaluable features for your tax filing process. By using the app, you can photograph paper documents and upload them as you receive them or message your tax professional on the go.

Q: Is a specific internet browser necessary to access TaxCaddy?
A: TaxCaddy works best on Google Chrome, but is also supported on Firefox, Edge, and Safari. For best results when using TaxCaddy.com on a tablet or mobile device, we recommend flipping the device to landscape orientation for best results. TaxCaddy isn’t supported on Internet Explorer (IE).
Q: Can I allow my spouse access to my account?
A: You have the option to invite your spouse, or one other person, to be an additional user on your TaxCaddy account. Additional users can upload documents, view tax documents you upload and review certain tax documents uploaded by your tax professional. Adding an additional user as a spouse also lets them sign spouse-related documents. You can revoke an additional user’s access at any time.
How do I keep my TaxCaddy account secure?
