Smith + Howard Named an INSIDE Public Accounting “Best of the Best” Firm for 17th Consecutive Year

— Latest honor recognizes sustained financial and operational performance, following the firm’s Top 100 and national growth rankings announced in August —

ATLANTA — October 7, 2026 — Smith + Howard, a nationally recognized assurance, tax and advisory firm, today announced it has been named a 2026 “Best of the Best” firm by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA), marking the 17th consecutive year the firm has earned the national distinction.

Unlike IPA’s Top 100 ranking, which is based on U.S. net revenue, the Best of the Best designation recognizes firms for overall financial and operational performance. IPA evaluates more than 35 metrics, including net revenue growth, leverage, governance practices, long-range planning, professional development, outsourcing strategies, compensation models, and process improvement.

IPA selects its Best of the Best firms using a proprietary scoring model based on data from its annual Practice Management Survey, which includes more than 600 participating firms. Seventy-five firms across North America earned the 2026 Best of the Best designation.
