June 21, 2021
UBIT (unrelated business income tax) applies to a nonprofit that regularly carries on a revenue-generating trade or business not substantially related to the mission of the nonprofit. The easiest way to think about it is this: is the business activity in competition with a traditional for-profit business? Please contact our nonprofit team for more.
