Many employers have begun filing unemployment insurance claims for employees permanently separated, laid off or having work hours reduced due to COVID-19, as required by the Georgia Department of Labor.

Please be aware that the Georgia Department of Labor’s Emergency Rule requires that all partial claims be submitted to the Department through the Department’s online portal, not through printed material.

Directions for electronically filing partial claims for unemployment insurance may be found on the Georgia Department of Labor’s website.
