Smith & Howard recently announced that Dan Smith has been named Chief Operating Officer. Dan, a seasoned business and finance executive, will lead Smith & Howard’s operations and finance departments. Randy Shrum writes on how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) will affect the financial statement audit. “The enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is one of the most significant and impactful policy developments in many years and brings with it complex, wide-ranging ramification in financial reporting” Shrum writes. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly Workplace Dynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
