Charitable Giving

Charitable giving decisions are quite personal and often complex. They should take into account the fact that the giver is essentially distributing the results of their life’s work and should also express the appropriate use of that wealth in view of the giver’s values. Charitable giving can be accomplished in many ways: through gifts of life insurance, outright gifts of cash, pledges, securities and bequests in wills, among others. It’s our view that properly planned and executed, a charitable giving plan can be one of an individual’s most important accomplishments. And so we take seriously our part in helping our clients develop such a plan. Never losing sight of the goals and objectives of our clients, we make sure that charitable

contributions are directed in ways that achieve those goals through appropriate vehicles that benefit the recipient and reduce as much as possible the tax liability of all parties.
