Mark P. Rutledge, ASA and Director of Valuation Services at Smith & Howard, PC has been invited to speak the Southeastern Accounting Show, hosted by the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. This year’s Show will be held August 26-27 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Rutledge’s presentation will be on FAS141R – or –   141 Ways to Revise a Financial Accounting Standard That No One Understands.

 

With more than 24 years of valuation and financial advisory experience, Rutledge is an expert in the valuation of businesses, business interests and tangible and intangible property for mergers and acquisitions, corporate recapitalization, gift and estate tax planning, dissenting shareholders and many other purposes. He has also been involved in the allocation of purchase price for financial and tax reporting purposes, including the valuation of such intangible assets as patents, trademarks, software, non-compete agreements and other proprietary technology.
